Common Questions

Yes. Some NDIS supports can be delivered by unregistered providers (this depends on your plan type and how it is managed). Unregistered providers must still provide valid ABN, worker screening, and insurance documents. They will not display the "NDIS Registered" badge but can display other verification badges where applicable.
We notify providers automatically when credentials are approaching expiry (90 days for insurance, 60 days for worker screening). If credentials lapse without renewal, the provider's account is suspended and they cannot submit invoices until renewed documents are uploaded and verified. We also notify the plan manager.
Use our complaints process to report concerns about a provider. We take all reports seriously. For serious safety concerns, you can also contact the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission directly on 1800 035 544. All reports are treated confidentially.
Initial verification typically takes 1-2 business days after all required documents are uploaded. Automated checks (ABN, NDIS registration) complete within minutes. Manual review of insurance certificates is done by our compliance team. Providers can submit invoices once fully verified.
